In perfect time for Coachella Weekend One I thought of posting my favorite looks so far. I am obsessed! Everyone looked so pretty! Cannot wait for Weekend Two outfits.
Coachella is a music festival in the desert of California and is not only a musical top event but also THE festival fashion event of the year. Absolutely everyone is going to Coachella. From famous bloggers to models, singers and actresses and actors. The fashion is always fun there, I think people wear stuff they wouldn't normally wear to the desert festival and they always look the bomb. Even H&M launched their second Coachella collection this year. No one can escape the hype anymore!
For me, Coachella is the perfect start to summer. I get all my inspiration for my summer outfits at those two April weekends.
This year, I love fringes, cute white dresses, gladiator sandals and rompers. But the classic high waisted jeans and crop top look is still one of my favorites. I think jewelry is a must! And make up wise I definitely think, less is more. A bold lip with minimal eye make up would be my go to look. Personally, I still think glitter tattoos are still very cute to wear and for nails I love the classic red or sweet pastel colors. They go with every outfit.
Just in time for Coachella here's a quick recap of my top fashion moments of the last years and my top three looks for the festival.
Revolve Clothing is an online shop that started in 2003. Now, 13 years later they have over 300 employees and over 500 different brands are able to be bought. They have 30 million page visits per month and over half a million email subscribers. It is save to say that it is a winning concept.
Today it is not only an online retailer but a way of living. They advertise with bloggers instead of models and celebrities and it works. They recognized that bloggers are the future in the fashion industry. Their recently launched social club in Los Angeles is a huge success and it makes you envy all the people who are able to go there.
The brands they sell are cool, young and fashionable. They are not something you can find anywhere, especially here in Switzerland. From Tularosa to Privacy Please or Lovers + Friends they also sell well known brands like Rag & Bone or Marc Jacobs.
They were able to mix the effortless youth of beautiful girls with a California breeze. Plus they have the perfect outfits for Coachella!
OK, so you all probably remember Tommy Hilfiger looks from when you were a child. It was always chic but never really cool. It was the all American brand and very conservative but back in the 90s Tommy Hilfiger was the leisure brand and now Tommy Hilfiger is cooler than ever. Just look at the fashion shows Tommy puts up every year. Incredible. It's still very American but which a cool 90s edge, which is THE thing right now in fashion. Gigi Hadid is his muse, which makes it even cooler. She even designed a collection for TH. They have super awesome bomber jackets and sweaters and tops, everything you wish for. See below to see my favorite Tommy look as of now. I love combining sporty pieces with high fashion stuff. It gives your glamorous evening outfit a laid-back touch.
Green, especially Military Green is one of the trends of the last few years and is still not going anywhere this spring and summer. I think the color got so versatile that it's not only military and strong anymore it got really feminine over the past years. Whether you wear green from head to toe or just some bits and pieces to accompany your outfit it's always makes your outfit look a tad cooler.
I love how you can wear it to every possible color. It looks awesome with black for the girls like me who simply cannot go without black but it is even prettier with white and good tan in summer. But it also looks fabulous with blue or orange or red. It is the perfect color that makes your outfit go from girly to cool.
Like my first example I styled some military green culottes with a black crop top, some chunky heeled boots, leather jacket and leather base ball cap. The combination makes the culottes look less chic and more edgy and the studded YSL bag gives it the elegant finish. Definitely a daily outfit but also perfect for those days where you simply don't have time to go change at home and want to hit the clubs straight away.
The second look is my "Khloe Kardashian" look. I feel like she would definitely rock this. I love the summer edition of the rock studded Valentino heels and the backpack matching them makes them look less evening and more day like "whoops I just put this on and look absolutely fabulous". I also love blue mirrored glasses so that's always a plus to wear with any outfit.
The last look is is for the ones who are not yet ready to get full on military. Simple distressed jeans with a simple white top combined with this absolutely GORGEOUS Saint Laurent jacket from their SS collection. I mean it is perfect. It has some military green details on it but not too many. The military green bag and shoes that are even in the military design make this outfit perfect for a girls lunch or a chilled dinner with friends. You're definitely in trend with the green but a bit more hidden.
My man Leo DiCaprio finally won his first Oscar! It was bloody time. He is such an inspiration, very humble, involved, kind and funny and on top of that the best actor of our generation. It is such a honor to grow up in a time where Leo DiCaprio is at his peak. Personally I think he should've already won at least 3 or 4 Oscars, but who am I to judge.
Obviously this year was all about his win and no internet site, no tv channel is not talking about this but as a fashion victim I also always look forward to the gowns of the incredible actresses, the models and singers who attend the ceremony or the one of the several after parties. This year was such a good fashion year for the Oscars. There were so many good dresses, which made is so hard to choose but I tried my best. Here are my faves :)
This years best actress in a leading role Brie Larson stunned in a royal blue Gucci dress. It's flowing and simple yet so beautiful and detailed and fits perfect to her royal smile. It's probably my favorite of the night.
Jennifer Garner is always classy never tacky and looks always like a million dollar. This gorgeous gown was designed by Versace and is perfect for such gorgeous woman. I love the simple red nails and up do with it combine with the simple yet stunning jewelry.
Lady Gaga is slowly turning from gaga to a modern Marilyn Monroe. She looked cool and gorgeous in a white jumpsuit-dress by Brandon Maxwell. Her hair was very 20s and so beautiful to this minimalistic gown. She looked like a queen. Btw she wore jewelry in the worth of 2 Million Euros on her body. WOW.
Charlize Theron looked gorgeous in the color you're not supposed to wear on a red carpet, red in a dress by Dior. Charlize can do anything and wow us all. I mean look at her body and her perfect face. The plunging neckline put perfect into the spotlight with her long diamond necklace. So cool and gorgeous.
The winner of best actress in a supporting role Alicia Vikander wowed in a yellow balloon gown from Louis Vuitton. Her ballerina figure looked completely stunning in this extravagant dress. She reminded me of the Disney princess Belle.
Daisy Ridley, the new Star Wars heroine looked amazing and classic in a silver Vintage Chanel dress. It was extremely simple yet so perfect and fitting to her Snow White'ish look. I love the length as well, it makes it easier and cooler but it's Chanel so it's classy no matter what.
Oh my lovely Taylor Swift. She has a body like a model and presented her mile long legs in this wonderful plunging Alexandre Vauthier dress. Her jewelry and shoes are minimal and her new hair cut makes it young and fresh and cool.
She is my new queen. Alicia didn't only look stunning on the red carpet but also wowed in another Louis Vuitton gown at the Vanity Fair After Party. It's long sleeve and sparkling and black. Her hair was undone and she complemented her cleavage with a statement necklace.
It is no secret that Emily Ratajowksi is probably one of the hottest babes on earth and she looked amazing in this black beautiful sheer gown by Steven Khalil. She showed off her good cleavage without looking tacky. Her hair was simple and undone and looked effortlessly gorgeous.
Selena Gomez looked simply stunning in this silver Louis Vuitton gown. It is no secret that Selena loves a good Louis dress for special occasions and she shows again how well she fits into their fashion style. Her sleek hair and dark eyes looked perfect combined with that stunning dress.
The award season has officially started. The Golden Globes kick off the most elegant season of the year and I look forward to see the beautiful gowns every time. I love seeing my favourite actors, singers and celebs in amazing pieces. This year Gold and Silver was a huge yes for many. Followed by white and light rosé coloured pieces. The dresses seemed rather simple compared to other years yet effortless and gorgeous. What caught my eye is that there weren't that many bold make up choices this year. Natural was the deal and I personally loved it. The stars let the dress be the star.
See my top 8 below:
Kate Hudson showed off her toned tummy in a rather sexy outfit for such an elegant occasion. Nevertheless, I loved it. Michael Kors designed her revealing gown in a goldish rosé tone. She paired it with rosé shoes and left her hair and make up natural. The back of the dress was closed so it was not too revealing in my opinion.
Alice Vikander wore a beautiful white Louis Vuitton column gown. The delicate pleating and the frill-trimmed bodice added some elegant texture to the classic look. Her gorgeous up-do showed off the impeccable back of the dress.
As a black fan I need to put in one of the few black dresses last night. Vanessa Hudgens wore a black velvet, sheer dress by CD Green, which shows off her darker side. Her hair was in a perfect ballerina bun and the sparkling details and jewelry added the perfect touch of glamour to it.
Once again Selena Gomez looked like a goddess. Her white gown was designed by J-Mendel and is so classic yet very modern. She kept her hair and make up minimal and simply wowed us by her presence. The silver clutch adds perfectly to white off-shoulder dress.
Swiss blogger Kristina Bazan's dress is probably my favourite out of all. Her Labourjoise dress is simply stunning. Even though it is very glittery and long, she makes it look so effortlessly simple and chic. Her dark nails and lips bring and edge to this fantastic look and her smile makes it perfect.
King Kylie Jenner looked surprisingly natural and simple last night at the InStyle after-party and I must say I love it. Her ballerina bun portrays her perfect face, which is not caked to the extreme but kept rather natural and her two piece gown is simply stunning! She channelled Cinderella in this beautiful sequin gown by Labourjoise (like Kristina's).
Newly engaged Rosie Huntington-Whiteley beamed in a simple golden strappy dress and loose waves. She only wore her engagement ring as jewelry and nothing else. Her make up was rather simple and complimented this Atelier Versace gown.
Nina Dobrev wore a rosé lace and mesh dress by Max Azria Atelier and shows us once again what a natural beauty she is. Her hair in a romantic up-do, minimal make up and a flashy red bag perfected the outfit.
